The main activities of the MIAC of the Ministry of Education are:

• state statistical and departmental reporting
• creation and maintenance of industry databases of statistical information
• development and publication of statistical collections
• the development of telecommunications and information resources in the Republic of Belarus, including the design, construction, operation and provision of data network services, user training.

MIAC Ministry of Education conducted research and development work on the problems of information technology, telecommunication networks and systems, on the creation and updating of information resources.
